Australia vs Argentina

Hi all...

Just a wee note to say that i feel very sorry for australia and hope that everyone over in NZ is ok with what happened... Anyway for those of you that don´t know, we are off to Argentina tomorrow... we like Santiago very much but it is a little too expensive to stay in without getting an apartment etc... And to get an apartment we need to be more decisive which we are not at the moment... So off we go to Argentina and our hopes of winning the world cup improve... go argentina...

Here is me in the gondala on the way back down the hill... Tim had a little bit of a stress in the gondala on the way down as it went for 2 kms and it was very high... and as most of you know tim is very scared of heights... However after the initial sobbing etc,... he managed to calm down enough to take this pic of me....

i thought that you guys may want a wee look at some of santiago, so here is a few wee pics that i took today cause it was such a nice day and me and tim went for a walk up this hill in the middle of Santiago. At the top there is this giant Virgen statue... other other pics are just random street sceens and notice all the great views of the Andes.....

Tim´s new tooth

Ok all... as promised here is a pic of tim´s new tooth... the front looks good but he complains about the back of it daily... the top of his old broken tooth has started to go a little yellow but nevermind... such are third world dentists... she was half japanese actually...

hi all...

well Santiago is going ok... except things are pretty expensive... so we are just hanging on at the moment and if the apartment sceen doesn´t improve then we are thinking Bolivia...

oh well... i bought this new scarf the other day and Tim broke his tooth eating some fried chicken... just shows you that he should have kept to the turkey...

I think i am going to go a play some bridge on thursday afternnon which should be cool... not much else is up... the food for me is just ok... not that many good vege dishes... had a good fish one though.. oh well

Hi all...

now things have been moving quite fast so I am going to have to do some back-tracking but for now I just wanna say that I am here... and I am ok... and I have finally managed to connect my computer to the wireless world found here... for some reason my aerial is not working and had to get an external linker... so if anyone know how to turn on my airport aerial on a powermac... then let me know...

Played 2 over one last night... first time for me... I need to learn this system because it is what they play in Chile... was ok... i think I get the basics now.. So 1C, pass, 1D, pass............. non forcing right!

Last weekend before this weekend...

Hi all,

i have been particularly slack, as I have been trying to get around to downloading photos onto my computer from my Camera... anyways here is what happened last weekend and this week.

1. I took Xavier and Marianne to the airport (they were off back to France for awhile). I was my first of many goodbyes.

2. went to visit my sisters new house in Akatore.. They moved the house onto the section so lots of work has been done and tons to do but it was looking good....

3. Bridge charity for the boys... They made $500. I did 3 very very very stupid things in a row... to give away ~9 %. so did badly... then went out which i was not intending to do.
For better or worse I saw my friend Pan in town. He was all famous for being the main actor in 24 hour film festival (see photo below of crazy looking guy in jump suit).

4. Recovered....

5. Did some work....
Monday relaxed, Tuesday tims band played for the last time... was pretty fun, wednesday went out for tea with Tim's family... nui was not there however... he is away finding love. Thursday i played bridge with james... we are coming 3= in the swiss pairs with one more week to go....

Tonight i am off to carolyns... I think i will drink Gin.
